AEW recently made a big announcement for its UK fans. The company’s upcoming PPV ‘All In’ is an ambitious project scheduled for August 2023 at Wembley Stadium. The stadium has now been confirmed as the official venue for AEW’s upcoming PPV and is located in the city of London. In fact, the venue is one of the key highlights of the scheduled event.

The sports history attached to the stadium makes it iconic. Reports about the stadium’s expensive rent are coming in. So, fans are confused as to how Tony Khan will book a profit using the stadium as the venue. However, rumors and speculations suggest that the President of AEW might be getting a good discount on it.

Tony Khan is the son of a well-established businessman. His father, Shahid Khan, is a billionaire with investments in different niches. One of his more visible investments is the NFL team, Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer is known to give out several crucial insider information. This time, the reporter has come forward with speculation that might make sense to fans following the AEW-Wembley case.

I’m guessing he booked it to turn a profit. Rent is $400,000 and he may get a break on it due to the Jaguars playing there once a year,” tweeted Meltzer while replying to a netizen. The thread is filled with Meltzer’s replies to wrestling fans trying to make sense of Khan’s decisions. Despite the stadium having a seating of 90K, Meltzer said that it will be a success even if the PPV books 25K seats. This started an argument that required Meltzer to come up with insane speculation.

Given the heavy rent of $400K charged by the stadium authorities, it doesn’t sound like a smart decision to book the venue for the number of audience reaching as low as 25K. This is particularly because the reports earlier suggested that the AEW team is trying their best to sell out Wembley Stadium for the event.

However, Meltzer made a good point regarding Tony Khan’s billionaire connections. The NFL team Jaguars played inside the stadium once a year. Due to this, Shahid Khan can have desired connections with the authorities. This could possibly waive off a good amount of money from the initial $400K rent.

The final booking amount of the stadium will remain a mystery for the world until it is out in the open. However, if the speculations come to be true, Tony’s 72-year-old father can prove really helpful for his promotion. Even if the seating limits itself to just 25K people, it can prove profitable for AEW.
