There has always been a major competition going on between AEW and WWE. Even though the latter is one of the biggest players in the game, Tony Khan’s AEW tries to meet that up or excel his competitor in some way or another. Recently, one wrestler from the Jacksonville-based promotion mentioned his dream match that he believes will take AEW to another level, but it includes CM Punk

The one who claimed this was none other than the FTR member, Dax Harwood. After performing as The Revival in WWE before, Harwood knows about the business of both companies. And keeping all of that in mind, he talked about a pairing that he believes a lot of fans would love to see. Not only that, but his dream match will also help Tony Khan to sell tickets for their Wembley Stadium show All In on August 27.

Similar to the name of AEW’s PPV event happening in August, it seems like the company is going all in put all its efforts into it. For the event, the promotion will head to Wembley Stadium, which holds roughly about 90,000 fans. Even though the number of seats is unknown, there are chances of AEW breaking its attendance record numbers.

There have been questions about whether AEW has the star power or if they can put a match card big enough to fill out the historic English stadium.

In order to achieve that, Harwood feels his dream match would be the perfect solution. While speaking to Uproxx, he said, “CM Punk and FTR versus the Elite.”

That’s gotta be it, right? If you want to sell 50,000 tickets and take this company to the next level, that’s it, that’s me dreaming. That’s the dream match. That six-man tag in Wembley Stadium could help launch AEW to the next level,” Harwood added.

After the AEW’s post-All-Out brawl, it seems that this dream match wouldn’t be possible to book. However, Kenny Omega’s stance on it seems to lighten the entire situation a little. No one knows what will happen if this dream match comes to reality, but one can just speculate.

As per reports, the company has already done 25,000 pre-sale sign-ups over the first 24 hours. And this might get doubled with this specific dream match mentioned by one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions.

FTR member gives an edge to Tony Khan AEW over Vince McMahon

It’s known to all wrestling enthusiasts that FTR was a part of the WWE for some good time. However, they feel more freedom in their new promotion that they don’t want to give it up.

While talking about the two promotions, Harwood straight away mentioned that Tony Khan understands the FTR and its members much better than Vince McMahon. Khan recognizes them as average human beings. He doesn’t think of him as one who understands the tag team better than its members, which wasn’t the case with McMahon as per Harwood.

Now with this, one of the heated questions of FTR joining WWE again seems to get clarity. However, it would be interesting to see if Harwood’s dream match happens or not. And if it does, will AEW be able to sell that many tickets for it?
