Dwayne Johnson fails to repeat last year’s success
Dwayne Johnson has had a star-studded Hollywood career lined with many awards and accolades. The former WWE Champion has won awards for his acting roles in movies and TV series. In 2021, he won the People’s Choice Award for the Comedy Movie Star and Male Movie Star for Jungle Cruise to go along with the People’s Champion Award.
This year, The People’s Choice nominated The Brahma Bull for six awards. These included his DC movie Black Adam and the TV show centered on his life, Young Rock. Unfortunately for the actors and his millions of fans, he couldn’t land a single award. The DC actor lost out the Male Movie star and Action Movie star awards to Marvel’s Chris Hemsworth and Elizabeth Olsen, respectively. Top Gun: Maverick, which starred Tom Cruise, won the Action Movie Award over DJ’s Black Adam.

All in all, this has been a disappointing few days for the fandom of The Rock. A few days ago, he also lost out on the YouTube Streamy Awards in the crossover category.
