The update is that the Brahma Bull has dropped some open hints that he wants to face his distant relative Roman Reigns to settle who the original Tribal Chief is. However, just hours after the news broke out, Roman Reigns decided to make an appearance on the upcoming SmackDown New Year’s Revolution.

Roman Reigns is coming back after The Rock’s challenge

The official website of WWE broke the news to the fans. As per the article, Roman Reigns will be returning to SmackDown amidst the ongoing feud between AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and LA Knight. The three will be participating in a Triple Threat match to decide who will get the chance to face Roman Reigns at the 2024 Royal Rumble.

The last time Roman Reigns was seen on SmackDown was on the December 15, 2023 episode of SmackDown. He was there to have a word with Randy Orton and LA Knight. He was treated to a surprise when AJ Styles returned to the ring and thwarted the Bloodline.

He asked, “Should The Rock sit at the Head of the Table?” While it sure does look a pretty simple question, fans could assume that he might have indirectly hinted that he wants a feud with the current Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. However, Roman Reigns has acknowledged this subtle challenge by Johnson.

While he did not say much, he made sure to tweet about the situation. While fans expected him to send an angry message out for Johnson, instead he replied to the situation with a laughing emoji. This could hint that he considers Johnson as just another challenger who wants to dethrone him. In the past, many have tried to pin Reigns but failed miserably.
