WWE superstars AJ Styles and Seth Rollins will face off for the newly unveiled WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt at the Night of Champions PLE in Saudi Arabia on May 27. Hours before their clash, Styles renewed their feud by taking a fresh dig at Rollins’ recent career move. Earlier this month, Hollywood came calling for Rollins, who has reportedly bagged a new role in the upcoming Captain America movie. This became the premise of their shots taken by The Phenomenal One towards his opponent.

AJ Styles questions Seth Rollins’ absence from press conference

Styles, along with several of his WWE colleagues, has already reached Saudi Arabia. He even attended the press conference ahead of the marquee event. Appearing alongside WWE commentator Michael Cole, Styles addressed the press. During the session, he questioned his opponent’s absence.

“Where is Seth Rollins now?” Styles asked, to which Cole replied that the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion is “going across the world doing media.” Cole said, “But none the less AJ, you will be in for a battle against one of the all-time greats.”

Acknowledging his opponent’s greatness, Styles added, “God know, everybody would love to be a Hollywood star.” The 45-year-old said he’s more focused of the job at hand- becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion. Meanwhile, Rollins’ absence from the press conference broke several hearts. Fans took to social media to comment on his absence.

Fans call out Seth Rollins, points at irony

Earlier this year, Seth Rollins called out Logan Paul for being a part-timer in the WWE. He has been vocal about the issue for some time. Expressing his disappointment at Paul being available to wrestle in a handful of matches, Rollins said he failed to understand the longtime value the part-timer would bring to the company.

In an ironic turn of events, Rollins, a full-timer in WWE, failed to attend the press conference. Fans did not miss a beat to call out the Monday Night Messiah.

“It’s so funny because Seth’s whole thing is he’s about the WWE and the world title shouldn’t be on a part timer but he’s out filming a major Hollywood production and can’t make shows 😂. Gonna be great exposure for the title though when time comes for his Media tour,” a fan commented.

Another said: “Seth becoming a part timer now??? Kinda funny lol”

A third fan reacted: “Honestly Seth shouldn’t win the title anymore the entire point of putting it on Seth was bc he is there every week working his ass off but the second they started to push that narrative Seth turns around and goes Hollywood”
