AEW Collision’s premiere is coming nearer day by day. Tony Khan will be airing his company’s newest offering on 17th June 2023. Although witnessing a whole new show premiering is already a privilege, wrestling fans are in for some more good news. CM Punk is returning to AEW TV starting with his appearance at Collision’s first show this weekend. The wrestler has kept his fans waiting for long enough following his backstage brawl with the EVPs of AEW. Now, things appear sorted as the star returns to in-ring action.

Not just regular audiences, but even a WWE Hall of Famer is awaiting Punk’s return to the ring. Little does the Punk know what the WWE legend thinks of him.

It all started with CM Punk dropping subtle hints about his return on social media. Soon, Tony Khan announced Punk’s return. He probably did so to improve Collision’s ticket sales because the show’s booking stats were not looking good. Ironically, not much change has come after revealing Punk’s return.

Despite Punk’s inability to move the tickets, Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett is confident he would do well at the show.

As a competitor and especially as somebody with his track record of success, love him or hate him, if you don’t think that guy’s gonna show up with the uber, ultimate game face on, and want to tear the house down in whatever shape, form, or fashion, folks, this is one of the reasons that not just myself, but my father absolutely loved the business,” said Jarrett on his podcast.

He then went on to add, “When you have something to prove in your gut to yourself, that you want to do good, that a guy that could probably sit back and rest on his laurels, I just don’t see that happening.” With his statements, Double J probably wants to say that no matter how what Punk has accomplished thus far, he will be ready to prove himself all over again.

CM Punk Seemingly Confirms His Return at AEW Collision, Fans Go Wild: ”Oh My F***Ing God”

Some of you might like to know that not only ‘Double J’ but several wrestling fans are also on board with the idea of his return. Around a week ago, insider information leaked about AEW Collision’s management. And it appears that Punk isn’t just making a return as a wrestler but also adorning a new background role. The former WWE star would be heavily involved in the creative direction for AEW Collision.

And if CM Punk is assigning a storyline to himself, he may take the liberty of making a grand return. So, do you think Double J’s prediction regarding his return would turn out to be correct?
