He recalled the time when he played the ‘Stardust’ gimmick inside the ring. Part of his ‘pain’ was that he had to play the gimmick while his partner, Brandi Rhodes, was out there working as a ring announcer to announce big names like John Cena. “So, how lame do you feel? She’s out there getting to announce John Cena and Randy Orton, and then this is the guy she married? The guy jumping on the barricade and all the things I would do as Stardust,” said the wrestler.

Later in the conversation, Rhodes accepted that it wasn’t the best solution. He claims that if a similar situation occurs now, he would deal with it better. Then, he commented on his tactic of mixing ‘cheap whiskey’ with Gatorade by saying, “ It was just a nasty cocktail, but it was helping me get through for a minute.

Rhodes claimed that he did not have faith in himself during the time he was working as ‘Stardust’. This, combined with other issues in his life, led him to develop a ‘drinking problem’. However, he ultimately overcame this and is doing well at the moment.
