The WWE Universe stopped for a while when a 340 lbs giant encountered the ‘Beast’ Brock Lesnar in the middle of the ring at Royal Rumble 2020. Everyone was expecting an easy elimination, but the giant did the unexpected and gave Lesnar a really tough time.

He was none other than the AEW star Keith Lee. Lee entered the match in the 13th spot and shocked the world with his amazing performance. Three years later, when a fan asked him about his experience, the AEW star felt honored.

The AEW star recalls his encounter with Brock Lesnar

The encounter in question happened on January 26, 2020, at the Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. Brock Lesnar and Keith Lee faced each other at the WWE PLE Royal Rumble. The ‘Beast’ Brock Lesnar entered the match at #1. He threw every opponent from the top rope like they weighed nothing. But that was until Keith Lee entered the ring.

Recently, a fan asked Lee on Twitter about his clash with the former WWE champion. To this, the AEW star replied that it was an honor for him. Lee mentioned that whenever he does something that he loves, he feels honored. The Royal Rumble 2020 was no exception.

Recalling his encounter with Brock Lesnar, Lee wrote, “An honor. Any time I get to go out and do what I love, it always feels like an honor. But standing toe to toe with enormous names, proving myself, and the chants of the people… will *never* be underwhelming.”

Their clash at Royal Rumble 2020 was truly amazing. Fans even started to anticipate a feud between them. But soon after, Keith Lee said goodbye to the WWE and the potential rivalry got buried.

The last time the WWE Universe saw Brock Lesnar inside the ring, he was competing against the ‘American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes. Since then, the ‘Beast’ has disappeared more or less. Keith Lee, on the other hand, is currently working for Tony Khan’s AEW.
