Last week, a report from PWInsider stated that a former WWE Champion will return after Crown Jewel. They also said that he would go after  The Bloodline as they attacked him in September, causing him to go on a brief hiatus. WWE has now confirmed the news and The Bloodline better watch out.

The superstar we are talking about is none other than 2-time WWE Champion AJ Styles. He was last seen on the September 22 edition of the blue brand. During the episode of the blue brand, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso from The Bloodline attacked him backstage.

Styles got involved in The Bloodline storyline in September. He was attacked during a blue brand show where Cena saved him from Sikoa and Uso. WWE then paired him and Cena in tag team action against Sikoa and Uso. However, The Bloodline members didn’t let that happen, as they attacked him backstage on the 09/22 SmackDown episode.

The assault was so brutal he had to be carried out of the arena on a stretcher. It’s a no-brainer that ‘The Phenomenal’ would want to exact revenge on his attackers for sending him to the hospital since WWE has confirmed his return this Friday on the November 10 episode of SmackDown.

Given his condition, Cena found himself another partner for Fastlane, LA Knight, who later challenged Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at Crown Jewel, but failed. That said, there is a high chance that Reigns can get caught in the crossfire during Styles’ quest for revenge.

Reigns defeated Knight at Crown Jewel. Therefore, currently, he has no challenger for his belt. This puts Styles in an easy spot, as he can be the next to challenge The Tribal Chief. Since he would already be feuding with The Bloodline, why not go for the highest reward possible, right?

When PWInsider broke out Styles’ return news, they also mentioned that he and Reigns might get involved in a rivalry leading them to fight with the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship on the line. ‘The Phenomenal’ has already fought Reigns twice in a singles bout.

The matches took place in 2016 (Payback and Extreme Rules) which saw Reigns as the victor both times. But maybe this time Styles can pick up a win. Do you think the 2-time WWE Champion would want revenge from The Bloodline for assaulting him in September?
