Hours after a competitive wrestling match with her teammate, Bayley seems confident about their relationship. Money in the Bank matches are extra competitive in nature because of the briefcase that’s already at stake. And when Bayley and her teammate Iyo Sky faced each other during the ladder match, fans started wondering if the competition was going to scar their relationship.

However, to everyone’s surprise, both wrestlers spoke up when a reporter asked them about the tension. During the press conference, Bayley said some reassuring things about Damage CTRL’s dynamic. While it would’ve worried some of their fans, the female wrestlers’ statements might tone down the tension a bit.

Damage CTRL didn’t participate as a team this time in WWE’s latest PLE. Both Iyo Sky and Bayley competed in the Women’s Money in The Bank ladder match which had four other women. But instead of acting as a team and helping each other, Bayley and Iyo Sky turned on each other. The constant betrayals were evident from the actions of both wrestlers as they were not letting the other teammate win at any cost.

Toward the end, Sky handcuffed Bayley to Becky Lynch on the ladder and climbed over her Damage CTRL member to retrieve the briefcase successfully. Now, hours after Bayley’s Japanese teammate bagged the briefcase, both of them were found sitting together during MITB’s official press conference. When a reporter, on behalf of several other fans, asked them about where their relationship currently stands, both of them had a fitting reply.

After Sky said, “We won. We are Damage CTRL. This is our briefcase,” Bayley added to her reply by answering, “There’s no tension right here. We’re good. We won. We do what we said we were gonna do.

It is easier to believe Bayley’s words because of how highly she thinks of her teammates. Even when she believes she is not being treated aptly in the promotion, her team is what matters to her.

Bayley verbally shows her love and respect for Damage CTRL

During the pre-event interactions of MITB, several reporters arrived on the scene to interview wrestlers before they get busy with the PLE again. While talking to Bayley, ‘Gorilla Position’ confessed how they think she should be doing bigger things. Referencing the interviewer’s words, Bayley accepted how she believes she could’ve been on more posters. The female wrestler even called out Seth Rollins for stealing her opportunity.

However, the interview also consisted of Bayley talking about Damage CTRL. She said even if WWE doesn’t recognize her talent as a great asset; it doesn’t matter much. All that matters to her is the success of her teammates.

All of this combined makes it easy to believe that both the wrestlers could continue to be great teammates regardless of the tension they faced during the MITB ladder match.
