With WWE Backstage returning, and the Royal Rumble a few hours away, it is an exciting time to be a WWE fan. On the revived show, the panelists, Renee Young, Booker T and Paige chose their picks to win the most coveted thirty-man battle royal. While one chose a dark horse, the others chose fan favourites and one returning legend. These were the predictions by the WWE Backstage analysts.

“I just said Edge. I believe it, I believe in him. I’m inspired by him. It’s a long time, but he’s been in the business a long time, he knows what he’s doing,” Paige said, as she picked the Rated-R Superstar to head to WrestleMania and reclaim what he never lost, the World Championship.

“My guy is, I’m giving him the rub, this is the rub, oh it’s Big E. I need Big E to go out and represent to the fullest. Right now, he’s got a totally different attitude, let’s see if it plays out for him in the Rumble,” the five-time WCW Champion and former King of the Ring, Booker T said, as he picked the Intercontinental Champion to win the Royal Rumble.
“I gotta go with my former co-host of Talking Smack, my guy Daniel Bryan. D-Bryan, he might get it done. Please come on, we’re all rooting for you, I am at least,” Renee Young said, going with the safest choice and choosing the American Dragon to win the Royal Rumble. After his impassioned promo on SmackDown, Daniel Bryan might be heading to the main event of WrestleMania again.
Analysts pick their favourite to win the women’s Rumble
“Bianca. She’s a star dude, and the right storyline she could just skyrocket, she’s incredible.”
After beating Bayley on SmackDown, Bianca Belair has become Paige’s pick to win the women’s Royal Rumble match. A dream match against Sasha Banks would be a massive showdown.

“Everybody’s thinking about Bianca Belair, but I’m thinking about the Rip, Rhea Ripley. Somebody that’s literally taken this game by storm and I cannot wait to see how this thing plays out. Bianca Belair, the Rip and everybody, oh it’s gonna be good!”
While acknowledging Bianca as the favourite, Booker T went with NXT star Rhea Ripley to win the Rumble match.
“I’m putting my money on Bianca Belair. You can’t watch her WWE Chronicle and not bet on that chick right now.”

Another one in the Belair column, which means Bianca is heading into the Royal Rumble as the absolute favourite to win. If the result goes another way, we are in for quite a shock.
