Not Dethroning Roman Reigns, Logan Paul’s Primary Goal for WWE Crown Jewel Is Something Else: “You Might Not Like…”

To say that Logan Paul is an eccentric character would be an understatement. The YouTuber-turned-wrestler is bound to turn heads wherever he goes. Paul made his WWE debut alongside The Miz against the father-son duo of Mysterious at WrestleMania 38. He made the transition to wrestling look easy with his sleek moves in his very first outing in a WWE ring.

Last month, the Maverick hosted The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns in his Impaulsive podcast. It was what followed that shocked the Wrestling fans. Once Reigns left, Paul revealed his desire to challenge the WWE Universal Champion in a one-on-one match.

WWE, to their credit, obliged and made the match official at the upcoming Crown Jewel event. Logan Paul, in a recent interview with Verge Magazine, opened up about his upcoming clash.

On being asked about his intentions for the Saudi Arabia event, he answered candidly, “If the WWE fans don’t already respect me, after Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 5th, you will be forced to respect me. You might not like me. I might not be your favorite wrestler, but you will have to respect what I can do in that ring, and that’s my goal.”

Paul went on to add, “I could give two f***s who likes me or not, but you will always acknowledge that when I get in that ring, you are going to be entertained. That’s my goal.”

Logan Paul has had a bright start in WWE

WWE announced Logan Paul’s signing earlier this year. Fans were apprehensive about the YouTuber’s wrestling credentials. However, he was not a stranger to the ring, albeit to a different one. Paul in the past has had exhibition boxing matches against Floyd Mayweather Jr. and fellow Youtuber KSI.

In his first match, after officially signing with the Promotion, Paul impressed one and all with his in-ring exploits. He went on to beat the former WWE Champion The Miz at SummerSlam.

How fans received the start of Paul’s wrestling career

The fans’ response to Paul’s upcoming clash with Reigns is surprising, to say the least. Even though the new WWE superstar is supposedly up against a kayfabe ‘bad’ guy, he has been constantly bogged down by the fans. Leaving Paul as perplexed as anyone.

Logan Paul, through his own admittance, wants to prove all his doubters wrong. And when he steps into the ring with a seasoned pro like Reigns he would be looking to make a name for himself in the wrestling world. It would be very intriguing to see what The Maverick has up his sleeves for arguably the biggest moment of his career.
