It is often said that Hulk Hogan had creative control during the time he was in WCW. The Hulkster was responsible for many storylines showcased while the Ted Turner company ran.

However, not many wrestlers at the time were impressed by Hogan’s creativity, combined with WCW plans. Similarly, one of the WWE stars who jumped ship to WCW once shared his thoughts over it.

A few years ago, WWE Hall of Famer, Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart, appeared on a show with Inside The Ropes. He shared his disappointment over Hulk Hogan having creative control in WCW.

Hart said, “They did a lot too, to reign on my career too. It was not what is should’ve been, not what it could’ve been. I think you look at Hulk Hogan for that. I think Hulk Hogan was pulling the strings on Eric Bischoff like a puppet and he was such a piece of s**t, really (crowd laughs and cheers).”

He added, “I was always such a Hulk Hogan guy, I was, all years I was in WWE I mean I would’ve done anything for Hulk. I was a big supporter of his and anything I could’ve done to help him, including work hard on his cards and stuff.”

The Hitman is true to his words, when he said that he was ready to put Hogan over as many times as needed. A similar instance we saw at WrestleMania 9, where Hart took the loss against Yokozuna, only for The Immortal One, to come out and defeat the WWE Hall of Famer for the WWE Championship.

However, after debuting in WCW, Hogan went into the bad books of the Canadian wrestling legend. Apart from Bret Hart, Kevin Nash also talked about being disappointed by Hogan’s WCW creative control.

Bret Hart said a feud with Hulk Hogan would’ve saved WCW

Bret Hart left WWE after a controversial moment in wrestling history, the Montreal Screwjob. The iron was hot for The Hitman, when he debuted in WCW in the year 1997.

The WWE Hall of Famer said, “I was very much a company guy. He was always stab me…..they should’ve done in WCW, put me with Hulk Hogan in the first night I came and done a big PPV. I don’t know, I’m not saying I should’ve to beat him or anything, but he should’ve started a storyline or something. Maybe it would’ve have saved that company, but they were too stupid.”
