Vince McMahon had major plans for Brock Lesnar after his main roster debut. WWE had already started minting money when “The Next Big Thing” was added with the top stars in the early stage of his career.

Lesnar faced top stars like The Undertaker, The Rock, The Big Show, Rob Van Dam, etc. The youngest WWE Champion also had matches with Ric Flair on two occasions in his first few months. Moreover, Lesnar had also learned a valuable lesson from The Nature Boy.

In the autobiography, Death Clutch, Brock Lesnar mentioned a reality check he realized after looking at Ric Flair in 2002. Lesnar talked about the other side of giving an entire life to wrestling, which nobody discusses.

Lesnar said, “It got to the point that I remember one day looking across the locker room at Ric Flair, who was then in his mid-fifties, and saying to myself, “That’s not going to be me.” I don’t mean that as any disrespect toward Ric. He gave his life to the wrestling business. He was truly one of the greats, and he deserves a lot of credit for what he did.”

The Beast added, “But with all the greatness that his name is supposed to represent, and all the years he had spent on top, what the hell was he still doing there? He got in, but he never got out.”

Lesnar wondered at that moment how many moments Naitch missed with his kids and with his family. The former UFC star didn’t want to push himself like Flair did when he turned 60. Whenever Lesnar saw Flair, he heard the voice of Curt Henning, who once told him: “Get in to get out.”

The Beast Incarnate has always shared the time he loves to spend with his family. Even though today he is a big star, but manages his work and family time. He has a WWE contract that allows him to make limited appearances so he could spend time with his family.
