In between all the hustle and bustle going around the upcoming Royal Rumble of 2023, an AEW star took shots at Cody Rhodes. Even after performing for over 3 years in AEW, Rhodes and his family got insulted by Swerve Strickland in Rampage. The incident happened after Dustin Rhodes was interrupted by Swerve, The Moghul Affiliates, and Parker Boudreaux.

Ever since The American Nightmare returned to WWE, fans were hyped for his future appearances. An example of which can be seen in their excitement to witness the former champion wrestle in Royal Rumble. However, they also got disheartened after the company disclosed Rhodes as one contender in Men’s Royal Rumble Match.

AEW star puts Cody Rhodes on blast

During Dustin Rhodes’ appearance in an interview segment with Renee Paquette, The Natural reflected upon the rough month he had. The late WWE Hall of Famer’s son then thanked his fans for all the prayers and then shared how he chose to work towards overcoming his obstacles.

In the meantime, some AEW stars cut him off as they intend to roast the entire Rhodes family. The spokesperson among the three AEW wrestlers was Swerve who threatened Dustin of taking him out as he did previously to Billy Gunn.

The reason behind Rhodes’ departure from AEW

Even after being the AEW’s Vice President, Rhodes and her wife had to leave the company after being an integral part of it for a few years. As per the sources, the relationship between Tony Khan and Cody Rhodes got bitter with time as Tony’s visibility grew within the company.
