CM Punk is going through a lot lately. Not only did he lose his golden ticket to WrestleMania courtesy of Cody Rhodes, but he also got his hand injured in the process. As a result of the injury, he lost his opportunity to compete at Elimination Chamber and is out for many months, thus missing WrestleMania.

To top that, he has two WWE superstars, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins, who are vying for a match against him. Joining him on the list is another WWE legend who has probably hinted at a WrestleMania return.

The match marked the unexpected return of Austin since his supposed retirement in 2003, sending fans into a frenzy. While recalling the moment, Austin probably hinted at another match at The Grandest Stage of Wrestling and perhaps the opponent he would like to face.

So, did the rattlesnake just hint at another return to the squared circle? Perhaps, he did. But he did not rule out the possibility of stepping into the ring again. Of course, he did not because he never expected to return to the ring after 2003.

Steve Austin feels CM Punk is a good match-up for him

Austin said that he had a name in mind but did not want to reveal it as it would probably put pressure on WWE to book it. But Austin felt that Punk would be a good match too. Austin said, “I like Punk, and I think Punk likes me — so, as long as he can take a [Stone Cold] Stunner. I consider him a great friend, a great guy and a great wrestler who’s had a great career. We’ll see.”
