The months-long speciation and anticipation have finally been put to rest and in the best possible way. Yes, The Best in The World is back home and the 17,000 present in the audience gave him a deafening reception at the dying hour of the stellar Survivor Series PLE. The last few minutes of the show were indeed what we all needed.

While WWE rightly capitalized on the momentum of their several teases throughout the last few months, it has been reported that they were not lying either when they dismissed the notion outright.

CM Punk’s return plan was a covert call by Triple H

Previously, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE higher-ups aren’t seeing any chance of Punk being back on the roster anytime soon. Meltzer noted it could still be possible only if it was a top-secret call. And he proved to be right. It was.

According to the latest report, CM Punk only had hours of talks with Triple H regarding his return plan. Moreover, it was kept hidden from the rest of the creative team.

Nevertheless, despite the secretive nature of the talks between Punk and H, WWE made sure to create a buzz at the tail end of Survivor Series.

WWE brought out brand new CM Punk merchandise for fans

WWE didn’t waste a second to add to the glory of the most celebrated return of the former champion.

Fans are already full with seeing Punk back to the roster after undergoing huge confusion lately. Now, they can live up to the hype and give louder Punk chants wearing the newly released Punk’s merchandise.

Punk parted ways with the Stanford-based company back in 2014. After two years of controversial AEW run, the Devil is again back in his lair.

WWE seemingly didn’t want to leave any stone unturned to give him a proper reception as they immediately brought out his merchandise carrying the Survivor Series and Punk’s logo.
