The year 2023 is about to end and the next year is on the horizon. This means that it is time to know who has been the most influential personality in WWE and pro wrestling. While Rhea Ripley bagged ESPN’s Women’s Wrestler of the Year, and LA Knight received the Breakthrough Wrestler of the Year accolade, the spot of Men’s Wrestler of the Year remained open. And surprise, surprise, Cody Rhodes swept in to bag the title. However, according to him, his story is not done yet.

Cody Rhodes keeps his “eyes on 2024” on the back of marvelous 2023

ESPN awarded the American Nightmare with the title of the Men’s Wrestler of the Year. The former AEW star conveyed his gratitude and remarked that he believes his story has yet to come to a close. While he thanked ESPN and Marc Raimondi for the honor, he hinted that he aims to pursue the title next year too. He tweeted, “Thank you to @espn & @marcraimondi for the honor. Eyes on 2024..” This honor has done nothing but boost his confidence to perform in 2024.

While Knight, Ripley, and Rhodes bagged their respective titles, other stars from various promotions were not behind. MJF received the title of the Promo Artist of the Year for his wacky promos. AEW’s FTR won the tag team of the year, as opposed to WWE’s dominating tag team of Finn Balor and Damian Priest. Debut of the Year award went to the Second City Saint, CM Punk.
