His promo was moving and emotional. It was evident The American Nightmare had become sentimental and it wasn’t a script he was following, but speaking from his heart. Now, on WWE’s The Bump, he spoke about how it felt to finally tell Dusty Rhodes’ story to the world.
“I was just able to go out and speak in an unscripted, raw fashion. And, tell a story about my dad that not everybody knows. Some fans know when I posted about it. I actually have the title I spoke about. Not everyone knows that story. That was my original impetus and whole origin story on wanting to be a wrestler. So, being able to tell the world that was very special. There was a lot of fun.”
Of course, it was fun. The fans witnessed Stardust return as The American Nightmare to fulfill his destiny as The American Dream’s son.
