Prior to making it big in Hollywood, Dwayne Johnson was one of the top talents in WWE but would leave his illustrative career in the wrestling business to start from scratch in Hollywood. However, after a few outings, he would strike gold and become one of the biggest names in the industry. Recently, former enhancement talent in WWE, Marty Garner aka Cham Pain opened up about how he ended up as PA (Personal Assistant) to The Rock a few years ago. He would also describe how during one moment he even gifted The Rock with one of the funniest moments of his life.

Cham Pain was an enhancement talent in WWE, used for promoting upcoming superstars. He never struck gold in his wrestling career and soon left it to pursue other things in his life. Recently speaking on a podcast, he revealed how he met The Rock and became a PA for him.

He claimed once they went on a dinner together, and after eating he laid something out on the table that made ‘The Great One’ burst out in laughter.

Garner revealed that the incident took place during the 2003 WrestleMania. He said, ” I only had $100 in my pocket when I left the house. I’m short on cash and trying to wing it. I get in the lobby of the hotel and somebody called Rock and told him I was there. He calls my phone, ‘What are you doing here?’ ‘I’m just hanging out with the boys.’ ‘Come out with us tonight to dinner.’ I go out with him and the boys. The bill was like $1600 for eight or nine of us.”

He continued that after the bill came; he had no cash, so he laid out his 20-minute phone-call card on the table, which The Rock found extremely hilarious. However, soon after that, Garner would receive a call from Johnson providing him with the opportunity of his lifetime.

Garner claimed, The Rock called him up and provided him with the opportunity of visiting Vancouver to be his assistant. He revealed that he got paid heavily during that time and even stayed at 5-star hotels. He giddily claimed that it was the best time of his life.

The former WWE talent said, ” That was some of the coolest time of my life!” Dwayne Johnson is one of the most humble men in the industry. It was his down-to-earth nature that took him to all the places that he is now.
