This time around, the deal that he signed is different from the regular entertaining stuff that he makes for his fans. “The Rock” will be featured in a sports biopic for the first time in his Hollywood career and people are already excited about it.

Hollywood insider Jeffery Sneider appeared in a podcast episode and discussed The Smashing Machine, which will be based on the life of MMA fighter Mark Kerr. Sneider only had good things to say about the upcoming sports and drama film as he believes it can even get Johnson an Oscar nomination.

Actor and industry insider Jeff Sneider recently sat down with John Rocha on his podcast. While shedding some light on The Smashing Machine, Sneider confessed that he believes it is going to be a big step in Johnson’s Hollywood career.

Sneider said, “I think congratulations to Dwayne for finally seeing the like and realizing this is what you should have been doing all along long. Something like this. This could get [The] Rock an Oscar nomination. Who knows?

The former wrestler’s ex-wife revealed how ecstatic she is about her team getting this collaboration opportunity. The businesswoman’s subtle words tell us that she has confidence in Johnson and in the crew behind The Smashing Machine that the project will be a success, putting her close enough to Jeff Sneider’s point of view.
