Not only the young stars themselves, but most of the professional wrestling legends also want their kids to enter the world that the McMahon family has created. Be it, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair or Rey Mysterio, it’s a dream of almost every WWE legend to see its kids earning the fame that they got in the WWE Universe.

But if we talk about the WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley, then things are not the same. Despite earning a huge name in Vince McMahon‘s company, the legend wants his kids to compete in Tony Khan’s AEW.

Recently, the WWE Hall of Famer D-von Dudley appeared on the show ‘Insight with Chris Van Vliet’. During the interview, he opened up about several things. And when the talk about the career of his sons began, he said didn’t seem to hesitate to choose AEW over WWE.

D-von said that his kids are doing their thing in AEW and he is pretty happy with it. He also mentioned that he wanted them to grow in AEW right now as currently there is a lot going on in WWE and they might get lost in it.

Talking to the host, d-Von said, “They’re doing their thing, they’re still doing Dark in AEW. They’re having a good time….. I’m very, very happy with. I’d rather them be with AEW right now, then probably go to NXT or WWE. I mean, you know, in my opinion there’s so much going on over there right now that I just feel like they might get lost in the shuffle somewhere. …. I think AEW is the best fit for them.”

Not only this but the 50-year-old former WWE superstar also reveals the major reason that could hinder the growth of his kids in the professional wrestling world.

Further in the show, the former Dudley Boyz member said that currently, there is so much disarray in WWE. He elaborated further that Vince McMahon’s status in WWE is still unclear and no one knows if Triple H has complete control and he doesn’t want to indulge his kids in this mystery.

“You know, there’s so much disarray, I like to say that’s probably going on because no one knows what’s going on. You know, is Vince back? Is he not back? Is Triple H in control…..is he not in control?…… I don’t think anybody knows, except for the people that are working within the company.”

The ‘Dudley Boyz’ had an amazing career in the WWE. They bagged the tag team championships 10 times. They once even got the chance to share the ring with late wrestling legend Mae Young. If we talk about D-Von’s current status, then he said goodbye to the squared circle a long time ago. However, his sons Terrell Hughes and Terrence Hughes are following in his footsteps and carving their niche in the professional wrestling world.

They compete inside the ring as a tag team named ‘TNT’. The team has also made several appearances in AEW.
