She has a never-give-up attitude and is never shy to get what she wants. Recently she was even seen comforting Dominik Mysterio during their time on Chamber of Horrors.

However, her real-life persona is entirely different. In a clip circulating on the internet, we see a different Mami. The one who likes to be protected by her fiancé, Buddy Matthews.

Rhea Ripley hides behind Buddy Matthews

A clip has been circulating on Instagram which shows the other side of Ripley. In the clip, she is seen with her fiance Buddy Matthews. She suddenly notices someone walking towards them whilst recording the couple. This startles The Eradicator which is something fans have rarely seen. Then we see her hiding behind Matthews until the person recording them passes by. Although the person recording might not have any ill intentions, Ripley showed her side in which she respects her privacy.

Both Matthews and Ripley met each other during their NXT days on WWE. As Matthews took off to AEW, they both still stayed in touch. They got engaged in August this year and will soon be tying the knot.

Ripley is known for her daunting persona. Not many try to get on her bad side. However, there have been a few more moments like this which show the more personal side of Ripley.

An instance happened on an episode of RAW in May this year in which she broke character yet went with the flow effortlessly. Rhea Ripley was present along the ringside to support her fellow stable mates. Finn Balor and Damian Priest went off against AJ Styles and Seth Rollins. Rollins decided to channel his inner Shawn Michaels by recreating an iconic Shawn Michaels and Melina’s interaction with the unaware Ripley. To everyone’s surprise, fans got an even more iconic scene that made everyone laugh. 

Another moment where she broke her character and everyone noticed was when she faced off against Charlotte Flair during her WrestleMania 39 match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship title. Rhea Ripley defeated Flair to win the title. However, eagle-eyed fans noticed Ripley breaking character. She whispered a heartfelt “Thank you” to the Queen of WWE before hitting her with a riptide.
