The heel faction Judgment Day goes by the motto that all the members are equal. Even though many might consider Rhea Ripley as the leader of the stable, this has not been addressed officially. But with Damian Priest declaring himself as the leader of the Judgment Day, even Rhea Ripley agrees that the idea might be good.

Rhea Ripley thinks Damian Priest is up for the job

In a backstage segment, we saw the Judgment Day members having a serious discussion ahead of Priest and Balor’s tag team match against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. During the conversation, Ripley at first mocked Priest for calling himself the leader. But after a moment, she admitted that Priest might be the perfect for the job. At the beginning of the episode, Judgment Day interrupted the promo by Cody Rhodes. As the faction walked towards the ring, it was quickly noted that Ripley was not present along with them. After a verbal feud between the heels and the faces, Rhodes mocked the heels, asking how they all managed to walk all the way to the ring without Rhea Ripley’s guidance. After being mocked more by Rhodes, Priest said that he was now the new leader to establish their united front.

This definitely had an impact on everyone present who was watching the show. While the audience and fans were shocked to hear that, a fellow stablemate of Priest was left speechless too.

Finn Balor’s reaction to hearing the news

As soon as the Archer of Infamy announced that he was now the leader, Balor was left visibly shocked. This might be the first time fans noticed that Balor disagrees with something that came out of his tag team partner’s mouth. However, to not look weak in front of their rivals, Balor might have decided to keep his mouth shut. As for now, Balor hasn’t reacted to Priest’s statement yet. But it looks like he might soon react to it.

Fans have never witnessed Priest taking the whole responsibility of being the head of the stable. Along with that, nobody knows how he might handle the pressure of leading a faction. Rhea Ripley used to get angry at her stablemates but she did have a way to navigate through a particular situation. But fans and Balor might be unprepared for Priest’s leadership skills. This might eventually cause friction between the tag-team partners forcing them to split. But we have to wait until next Saturday to see how things turn out.

One take at a time

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let’s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
