Austin Theory is slowly garnering a reputation as a heel fans really love to hate. That was clearly evident at the Ball Arena in Denver when 14,000 fans in unison called him an “a*****e” not once, but multiple times over. This disrespect not just from fans but from ‘The Great One’ Dwayne Johnson led Theory to take to X (formerly Twitter) to spit some venom at Johnson.

Talking smack about The Rock on a public platform takes a lot of guts but Theory did it so effortlessly.

Austin Theory thinks the crowd cheered Johnson because of him

Heels are meant to look cool even when being mocked, not just by the face but by the whole arena as well. That’s exactly what happened last Friday on SmackDown as Austin Theory got booed mercilessly every time he tried to one up The Rock. But despite being cool as a cucumber, Theory was frustrated when the crowd called him an “a*****e”.

And in retaliation, he tried attacking Johnson only to get a Spinebuster in the middle of the ring. What followed was even more humiliation as The Rock destroyed Theory with a thunderous People’s Elbow. The excitement when Johnson lined Theory up for the move was so electrifying that it almost blew the roof off the Ball Arena in Denver.

Post the show, Dwayne Johnson took to Twitter to thank his fans for all the love and support. He also went on to thank everyone at WWE who made his comeback extra special after four years. Towards the end, he thanked his buddy Pat McAfee and also praised Austin Theory, which was a bit unexpected.

But Theory being the cocky star he is replied to that honor with ridicule as he always does. He replied, “I’m so grateful and humble that I could give you the loudest crowd reaction of all time. Also I don’t need you to tell me how talented I am I already know that.- Your favorite A-hole 🚀”. Luckily, this disrespect didn’t get Theory or the WWE into any legal trouble as it did the last time he tried mocking superstar John Cena.

The disrespect might have come also because Theory felt like he was being patronized by Johnson. Especially as he recently received a $600 gift from the WWE legend.

Another upcoming WWE superstar also took this opportunity to bring down ‘The Great One’.

Logan Paul mocked Dwayne Johnson’s return on social media

When you think of trash talkers in the WWE, one name takes the top spot, ‘The Maverick’ Logan Paul. The internet sensation has built his entire empire by garnering reactions whenever he sees an opportunity.

And he did the same with the return of Dwayne Johnson to SmackDown after four long years. Paul took a dig by comparing it to the cast of Jersey Shore, as they wore similar outfits.

He tweeted both the pics beside each other, saying, “I’ve seen this before”. Johnson is still to reply to either of these two disrespectful superstars. But what are your opinions on Austin Theory thinking that the crowd cheered Dwayne Johnson because of him?
