“Did My Man Dirty”: Fans Call Out Network for Unrealistic Portrayal of Dwayne Johnson in Young Rock

From the time Dwayne Johnson came up with a series based on his extraordinary life, fans were thrilled like anything. However, the show received mixed reviews, as a lot of portrayals weren’t accurate and pleasing to the audience.

Especially, season 3 of the sitcom raised several questions. But one particular episode of season 3 that showed Hollywood Rock during the Ruthless Aggression Era attracted numerous criticism.

People trolled NBC for the incorrect portrayal of The Rock in the series. DJ himself is the producer of the series named Young Rock, but couldn’t ignore the basic facts that are depicted inaccurately. 

Hardcore fans remember each and every detail about their idols and their look in one fundamental element that they never forget. Unfortunately, the makers of the series didn’t pay much attention to detail and that resulted in a massive trolling of them by the fans.

As soon as they released the episode, people found out that something wasn’t correct. The filmmakers did not correctly portray The Great One as per his original look from the time on which the scene was based in.

Fans exploded on seeing an incorrect portrayal of Dwayne Johnson

Fans took to the internet to let the filmmakers know that The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment was bald‌ at that time. But they showed the actor playing the role of The Rock in hairs.

Another mistake from their side was their attention to the tattoos that DJ had during those days. His looks were one of the elements that separated him from the rest. It also added depth to his personality and to the storyline of Hollywood Rock that he was showing.

People criticized the makers of the series in their own unique way. Some made fun of the low budget of the production that they couldn’t even provide a bald cap to the actor and make fake tattoos on his hand. 

Many roasted the look of the actor as their first impression of him was of Ricky Starks and not of The Rock. 

A fan even commented that he was part of the event on which the scene is based. He even laughed at its incorrect presentation. 

Some even came up with their way of sarcasm in the actor’s look by saying that they loved the days when Johnson had hair and did the rock concert.

The sitcom named Young Rock is based on the life of the former wrestler, The Rock. Recently, the sitcom aired its 3rd season with each episode coming one after another. Like earlier, it’s getting mixed reviews. However, people are excited to watch the upcoming episode and see where the series takes them to. 

Earlier in this season, fans also witnessed former WWE Raw & SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch portraying music icon Cyndi Lauper. It made the audience more excited to see if there are any more addition of real-life wrestlers in the sitcom.

Everyone now just wishes that filmmakers pay more attention to the little details that make the entire scene. However, everyone watches out for the upcoming episodes to revisit the journey of Johnson and praise it all over again.
