WWE Royal Rumble 2023 just concluded, and fans held mixed reactions to the entire event. While the returning Cody Rhodes won the Men’s Royal Rumble, Rhea Ripley eliminated Liv Morgan to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match.

The entire event was filled with top-notch segments. However, fans were particularly disappointed with the lack of surprises in the Men’s Royal Rumble match. In the entire 30-man match, only Booker T and Logan Paul appeared as surprise entrants, while all the others were predictable.

WWE fans were dejected at the fact that Dwayne Johnson failed to make his much-rumored appearance at the event. The WWE Universe was expecting The Brahma Bull to show up at the event, win the Rumble, and main-event WrestleMania alongside The Tribal Chief. However, none of that happened.

The American Nightmare was the last person to enter the mix and won last by eliminating Gunther, who lasted over 70 minutes. Rhodes is yet to name the championship he wants to challenge at Mania. While Zayn also turned face and broke out of The Bloodline.

Reigns now potentially has his opponents fixed for WrestleMania, and Johnson might not have to return for the biggest event of the year. On his latest Instagram posts, WWE fans made sure to have their disapproval known, and started spamming Dwayne Johnson’s accounts with their dejected comments.
