Dwayne Johnson and Will Smith are Hollywood’s powerhouses. They are both regarded as top-tier Hollywood actors. Johnson is famous for his action-packed films like Hercules, Rampage, and the Fast And Furious series. Smith, on the other hand, is well known for his melodrama films, such as The Pursuit of Happyness, Ali, I Am Legend, and King Richard.

On another perspective, a film’s box office revenue determines whether it is a hit or a flop. Over the years, both superstars provided many blockbuster movies as well. Although Johnson is not a critically acclaimed actor, he still outshines everyone in terms of movie box office collection.

Dwayne Johnson is widely recognized for his role in the Fast and Furious franchise, Jumanji, and San Andreas. The Rock has generated approximately $12.3 billion in worldwide box office revenue. Smith, with the films like MIB, Aladdin, Bad Boys, and many others, brought a total of $9.6 billion in box office revenue.

Will Smith’s top five highest-grossing films include Aladdin (2019), which grossed $1.05 billion. In addition, For Independence Day, $817.4 million. Suicide Squad (2016) earned $746.8 million at the box office. Additionally, Hancock and Men in Black 3 grossed over $620 million.

Will Smith May Lose Iconic Role to Dwayne Johnson

Johnson, on the other hand, went a little too far, as his top five highest-grossing films earned more than Smith’s. Obviously, because he is a part of one of the most successful film franchises, his films earn more money. The Rock’s top 5 movies are Furious 7 ($1.5 billion), The Fate Of The Furious ($1.2 billion) The film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle grossed $962 million. Fast And Furious 6 ($788,000,000) Hobbs & Shaw ($758,000,000).

It’s hard to say exactly how many hits each of them has given because they’ve both appeared in over 50 films. So, based on the top five grossing films, Johnson seems to have a small edge over Smith.

Dwayne Johnson, the former WWE wrestler turned actor, has a reputation for starring in some of the best action films. Additionally, The Rock is soon going to featured in his upcoming DC Superhero film, Black Adam.

Black Adam is probably one of the most anticipated films of the year. However, they postponed the film because of the pandemic. Now they are back into production and DC has confirmed that they will release the film in October.
