Drew McIntyre, or DM Hunk, has been on a roll in 2024. Feuding with Seth Rollins got him a WrestleMania XL match for the title. Turning heel gained him admiration from the fans, and his jabs at CM Punk laid the groundwork for a future feud. However, one thing fans were worried about was his WWE contract. He won and lost the WWE World Heavyweight title at Mania XL in 5 minutes. This made fans believe he was leaving as he hadn’t yet re-signed with the company.

Now, after months of speculation, an update has finally arrived regarding his current WWE contract.

The video caption gave more details on the matter. Johnson wrote, “Man of my word 🗡️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 As you’re a man of yours – Congratulations @dmcintyrewwe on signing your new @wwe deal.” According to Fightful Select, the deal in question is one the Scotsman is happy with and is a multi-year one. Fans initially believed the Scotsman would be leaving post-Mania. His loss of the belt only fueled these rumors.

However, now we have confirmation that he will be staying. The Rock signed off the post with, “Congrats again brother and cheers to hunger, passion, climbing that mountain and always entertaining our fans.” He also claimed that he wanted to be there in person, but had other things to take care of. So, what’s next for DM Hunk?

While Drew McIntyre does have his sights set on Damian Priest, who stole the title by cashing in his MITB briefcase, he also has CM Punk to worry about. Punk was the reason Priest got the chance to cash in at Mania. He was also the reason McIntyre lost the qualifying match to face Priest at Backlash for the title.

With the two feuds already laid out, he also hinted an interest in working with Sheamus. The two have worked as a tag team before and fans are hopeful they get to see it again. With the odds against him due to the increasing amount of enemies he has garnered, the Scotsman could look to the Irishman for support. Nevertheless, now the WWE Universe can rest assured knowing that they will find the answer to their queries in the future inside a WWE ring.
