Drew McIntyre is a bona fide main-eventer, who has been out of the main-event scene for a long time now. Although WWE has positioned him as a top star, he has not won any WWE Championship for over 30 months. His last main event match was at Clash at the Castle last year when he challenged Roman Reigns.

Hence, McIntyre has decided to bring himself back to his rightful place, by challenging Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship. But The Scottish Warrior has found a new area outside of the ring to battle Rollins.

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre posted a clip of his in-ring segment with current World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins on October 16th on X. The caption for the clip reads, “Out of time, So say goodbye, What is yours, Now is mine. #WWERaw

It was a reference to Drew McIntyre’s old song Broken Dreams by Shaman’s Harvest, an alternative metal band from Jefferson, Missouri. The song was released on Nov 30th, 2010 and was used by McIntyre during his initial run at WWE. He briefly used the song at Clash of the Castle PLE for his match against Roman Reigns, last year.

McIntyre throwing hints at slowly turning heel

The Scottish Warrior has shown a lot of hints in the past few weeks towards a potential heel turn. He reluctantly accepted pairing up with Matt Riddle earlier. On Sept 25th, he allowed The Viking Raiders to demolish Kofi Kingston. These were some of the hints about his potential heel turn in the future.

On 2nd October, he did not intervene when Damian Priest launched an attack on Seth Rollins. However, McIntyre stopped Damian Priest from cashing in his MITB contract on Rollins. As of now, he operates as an anti-face figure in the company, unsure of which way to go.
