Dwayne Johnson is a living example of how hard work pays off. Johnson has put forth a lot of effort to get to where he is now. After establishing himself as a WWE icon, The Rock went on to pursue a career in Hollywood. Looking over Johnson’s career, it appears that he has been successful in every career path he has attempted. However, his first professional attempt in Hollywood was a failure.

Despite coming from a wrestling family, The Rock initially aspired to be a CIA agent before getting into wrestling or even football. He even studied criminology in college because of his passion.

Additionally, in the caption he wrote, Fun fact: in college, my goal was to eventually work for the CIA. Until my criminal justice professor and advisor (Dr. Paul Cromwell) convinced me that the best operative I could become for the agency is one that also had a law degree.”

Johnson felt it was a brilliant idea at first. On the other hand, obtaining a law degree is a difficult task, since admission to a respected law school requires students to have outstanding marks.

Later, he realized his grades were below average and that he would be rejected from any reputable law school. Consequently, his dream of working for the CIA was shattered.
