The Rock is not here to give you only a Greek god’s figure anymore. Rather, he’s adding some master skincare elements to it for your next glow-up. The multifaceted millionaire recently launched his own men’s skincare brand, following in the footsteps of a plethora of celebrities who have occupied a place in the beauty world. The newbie Papatui brand might be the new favorite at your vanity table only if another marquee brand, Sugargoop, co-owned by Tennis mogul, Maria Sharapova doesn’t take up the place before.

Before you can choose your go-to brand right, let’s dig deeper into the pros and cons of each brand backed up by two major sports and fashion icons.

It’s a very regular practice for people from the sports industry to dominate the contemporary fashion trend among youngsters. As games naturally demand them to have a good, chiseled physique, and, in the case of WWE, to move in a distinct style as well, a strong influence over the fashion industry is what comes innately to them. Dwayne Johnson and Maria Sharapova chose to make the most out of their fame by bringing their own products into the market.

To talk about Johnson’s latest project, he launched it on Thursday, and on March 10, PapaTui will be available at Target stores nationwide. The Brahma Bull stunned the world by announcing it via social media. He assured the customers that his products were going to break the stereotype about skincare. His brand covers a wide range of products, from skin, hair, body, and tattoos, with special emphasis on cleaner ingredients and seamless performance. The products incorporate a series of unique features like tattoo care and built-in scent testers. And the best part is all of these things come under $10. Sounds exciting? Just hold your horse till you know about another elephant in the house, Sharapova’s Sugargoop.

Can Maria Sharapova’s Sugargoop be a solid competitor to The Rock’s newly launched beauty brand?

The Russian tennis star is a veteran in the fashion industry, unlike The Rock. She debuted in the beauty industry back in 2014 and she took a calculated step while asking to be a part of her favorite skincare brand. As they approved her role as the new advisor and investor of the company, the promising world of entrepreneurship opened up in front of her. She garnered huge success with the brand over the years, which is well-defined by her current net worth of $195 million.

Now, to draw a healthy comparison between the two products, Sharapova’s Sugargoop is a seasoned player in the market, while Johnson’s PapaTui is just breaking through. But to fill out the gap in trust, DJ’s years of experience in entrepreneurship with different ventures might be a good point to consider. Supergoop mainly plays in the mid-range market from $22-40 but also has products in the $70-$98 range. The variety is also less than Papa Tui, as it primarily focuses on producing different types of UV-protected sunscreens.
