Two rows of seven men dressed in traditional Saudi garb lined up before the entryway, each holding a goblet in their hands. When Mami’s music played, she walked between the rows of men to make her way to the ring. The ramp was lit up in green lights while Ripley made her way to the ring. While this may seem like something subtle to the unaware, it is a big deal in Saudi Arabia.

It’s clear to see that Ripley’s entry was something special. Her status as the champion got her a fancy entrance, with the men seemingly paying their respect to her. Considering the social standing of men versus women in the Middle Eastern country, the entrance seems to markedly comment on Ripley’s superiority as a wrestling juggernaut. The royal welcome Mami received is a rare gesture very few are deemed worthy of.

Rhea Ripley walked into the ring against four more esteemed opponents who wanted to steal her title from her. The title match was an epic showdown between Raquel Rodriguez, Zoey Stark, Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, and Rhea Ripley. While Mami was pitted against four wrestlers who didn’t even need to directly defeat her to win, Mami emerged victorious anyway.

Rhea Ripley had already taken care of 29 opponents at the Royal Rumble. Hence, just four opponents didn’t amount to much at all. The WWE universe thought that the match was over when Rodriguez had almost pinned Baszler. However, Mami delivered a vicious Riptide to Zoey Stark from the second turnbuckle, landing on Rodriguez to break the pinfall.
