“F***ng Hard, Man”: Dwayne Johnson Reveals His Journey From His “Biggest Mistake” to His Current Relation With Ex-Wife Dany Garcia

Dwayne Johnson always puts humongous amounts of effort into everything he does, which sets him apart from everyone else. The 51-year-old has amassed considerable success in all the ventures he has dabbled in, such as WWE, business, Hollywood, etc. However, not everything Johnson worked towards ended up a success, including his first marriage with ex-wife Dany Garcia.

The Hollywood star continued to invest the necessary efforts despite the failure of his marriage at the time. Speaking about his divorce from Garcia in a podcast, Johnson revealed how he and his ex-wife recovered from their biggest blunder. In fact, he also unveiled how he had to deal with everything, while ‘The Rock’ was just beginning to emerge as the name on everyone’s lips.

Johnson said, “I learned exactly that. What you just said, is that we can still make it all happen. We just have to be unattached to how we get there. And let’s also be unattached to what the original goal was. Now, the original goal wasn’t divorce, and divorce was f***ing hard, man.” The Hollywood star also suggested that he had apprehensions about his decision to proceed with the divorce. He added “And then I thought, God, is this the biggest mistake I’ve ever made in my life.”

The Rock said that it took a lot of patience and reevaluation to get something agreeable working instead of dumping everything. Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia realized that their dynamic as friends works better than that of partners. Moreover, both of them were laser-focused on matters of business.

They were on the verge of settling their own dynamic and the business side of things. However, they still had to worry about their daughter. The fierce Ava of WWE was a five-year-old Simone back then, and the divorce now forced her to grow up under separated parents. Interestingly, instead of becoming a problem, Simone became a core reason why both Johnson and Garcia could work with each other.

The former couple didn’t want Simone to deal with any unnecessary scars because of her parents. Johnson revealed in the same interview that he and Garcia thought, “We have an opportunity now to show her a way post something not working out, post a relationship and marriage not working out, but being an example for her of how you can work through something and resolve something.” 

Thus, Simone played a very beautiful and fulfilling role in making things work out between her now divorced parents. Indeed, he followed this with proactive decisions, such as consulting relationship experts rather than lawyers.
