While fans do love their favorite pro wrestling stars unconditionally, the said stars have recently started speaking up about unacceptable fan behavior that they have often encountered. Most of these behaviors range from breaching their boundaries for a photograph to outright disrespecting them. While many fans might not do it intentionally, others might have their reasons behind it. But as stated earlier, this has not stopped stars from calling out fans for this behavior. The latest addition to this is The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio.
Dominik Mysterio calls out fans’ misbehavior
In an ambiguous tweet, Dirty Dom called out fans and their behavior especially when they spot a star at the airport. He wrote, “I hate airport civilians with a passion.” While he did not clarify what might have prompted him to make this tweet, it could be assumed that the incident might be from his latest trip to Perth, Australia, for the 2024 Elimination Chamber.

This is the second incident in almost a month where a WWE star has called out fans’ misbehavior. A few days ago, Rhea Ripley decided to fire shots at fans after they constantly booed Maxxine Dupri, who happens to be new to the profession. The incident was from a wrestling house show in which Dupri was performing.

She was booed heavily by fans as she was leaving the arena. Ripley was joined by other pro wrestling stars who came in to support Dupri. While this shows how strong the pro wrestling fraternity is when supporting other stars, it also shines some light on fans and their unacceptable behavior.

WWE addresses a major concern
Back in March 2023, WWE Hall of Famer, Rey Mysterio was approached by a fan who requested him to sign on a bunch of merchandise for them. Mysterio tried to defuse the situation in the best way possible while trying to maintain his boundaries. This led to an uproar in the community and this issue was even addressed by WWE. As per reports, WWE stated that while they are closely monitoring how stars are treated by fans at the airport, they are disappointed in the fans.

The promotion stated that they are concerned about their stars’ safety as they have found out that stars are often stalked by fans. This does give rise to major privacy concerns especially if the stars are being followed to their hotels. This is mostly done to get the stars to sign merchandise which then could be sold by scalpers for a higher price. What are your views on Dominik Mysterio’s statement?
