WWE stars oftentimes tend to get injured in the ring. Whilst they can brush off most of them, some injuries tend to stick around longer, leading them to take a brief hiatus. Something similar had happened with the Irish Superstar Sheamus. He was on a short break due to an injury. However, there are now reports that fans might get to see him at a very perfect time.

When is Sheamus returning to WWE?

According to reports, Sheamus is set to return soon to the promotion. He is set to be seen on air once again on November 24th, 2023. This is a day before the upcoming Premium Live Event, Survivor Series. Whether he will be a part of Team SmackDown is still unknown. Sheamus was last seen on the August 18 episode of SmackDown where he faced off against Edge.

Despite setting up to make his return after a 3-month hiatus, the length of this run is something fans are not sure of. After expressing creative frustration on multiple occasions, leaving WWE might be next on Sheamus’s card.

Is Sheamus leaving WWE?

Back in 2019, WWE renewed the contracts of many stars, including Sheamus and Drew McIntyre. These five-year contracts are set to expire in early 2024. As Drew McIntyre has given his verdict on whether he will be leaving the promotion, there are no updates from Sheamus’s end. The 45-year-old star’s contract is set to expire somewhere between March to June 2024. So far, there are no reports on behalf of WWE on whether his contract will be renewed again.

Apart from that, the star has shown his frustration with the promotion a couple of times. According to him, he has put in a lot of effort to develop his character. However, even after putting in so much “organic effort,” he was met with a creative dead end. This was something that the star was trying to avoid. All fans can do is hope that the star gets to go out on his own terms, just like his pal Edge.

One take at a time

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let’s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
