He had defeated Brock Lesnar at the main event of WrestleMania 36, to grab his first-ever WWE Championship title. As fans were enjoying his second run at the red brand of WWE, there were speculations that he might not renew his contract and part ways with WWE. However, in a recent interview, he has shed some light on his future at WWE.

McIntyre wants to focus on ‘the right here right now’

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, McIntyre talked about the speculations regarding his departure from WWE. He said, “I mean, I keep reading the internet myself. I just saw something earlier. The internet keeps talking about my future, I guess.” He further added, “ But my focus is on the here and now like I don’t look to the future, I don’t look to the past, I look to the present.” implying that he is focusing on his current run at WWE.

He further added, “And my job right now is just making sure we give everybody in Hyderabad the best show possible and I’ll continue to give the best performance I can give at every show and I can see I don’t plan to be anywhere else.” McIntyre has garnered a reputation as one of the most entertaining stars in the ring. And he is trying his best to give a memorable show in Hyderabad, India. He concluded by saying, “That’s as much as I can give,” without revealing any major updates on his contract.

So, there’s no talk about extending McIntyre’s contract at the moment.
