Former WWE Champion Drops Surprise Hint About Leaving the Company

Fans have seen many WWE superstars get released or leave the company, only to go out and make a name for themselves. Some of them have returned to WWE and went to become the most popular superstars. Drew McIntyre is currently the live example of such WWE superstars.
Superstars like Matt Cardona aka Zack Ryder and Cody Rhodes have made a name for themselves on the independent circuit. With a lot of other companies in the industry, wrestlers can make a great living outside WWE.

Recently, the news broke of a fan-favorite WWE superstar, the “Swiss Superman” Cesaro leaving the WWE. As per reports, Cesaro and WWE did not come to the same page on contract negotiations. Various fans and WWE superstars shared best wishes to the former United States Champion.

Drew McIntyre recently appeared in an interview on In the KLIQ. There they asked him to share his thoughts about Cesaro leaving WWE. In his opinion, Drew McIntyre hinted about leaving WWE soon.
Drew said, “That’s a shame. Like so many people come and go from the company, I’m one of them, and we always see each other down the line.” (H/T WrestleZone)
When McIntyre said he will meet Cesaro down the line, it may have been a hint of him leaving WWE in the future and again going on an Independent circuit or to some other company. Many wrestlers who leave WWE occasionally meet each other on the independent circuit for a match.
Drew McIntyre wanted to face Cesaro in WWE
Both Cesaro and Drew McIntyre were there together in WWE for almost 10 years before Cesaro exited the company. However, they never got to wrestle with each other on the biggest platform.
Drew McIntyre expressed his disappointment, saying, “But it s*cks more when it’s a friend and somebody that you really wanna wrestle. That was my number one match, and I think his number one match. “

McIntyre added, “We’ve both been wrestling for 20 years but never had a singles match, so we’re gonna have to wait a bit longer. It’ll happen eventually, but he’s got his family, he’s got his new kid. And he’s gonna be just fine. He’s far too talented not to be.”
Cesaro recently became a father and his new WWE contract was reportedly offering him less money than his previous contract.
