While fans are still happy following the return of Randy Orton and CM Punk, a piece of sad news might be on the way for them. Wrestling promotions happen to have multi-year contracts with various stars which eventually expire after specified years. While it was previously revealed that Sheamus’s contract is set to expire in 2024, a few additional concerns have also popped up. Some major names, including current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, could be on the way out of the promotion.

Seth Rollins and others might leave WWE soon

As reported by Fightful Select, many prominent names in WWE are set to become free agents in the year 2024. This includes names such as the Monday Night Messiah Seth Rollins, and his wife Becky Lynch. Other names on the list include Sami Zayn, Drew McIntyre, previously mentioned Sheamus, and Kazuchika Okada.

As for now, there are no updates on whether these stars will sign new contracts. The above-mentioned stars are some of the biggest names of the company. Back in 2019, WWE re-signed many of their superstars when AEW was launched, to prevent stars from joining the Jacksonville-based promotion.

However, Seth Rollins might consider leaving the promotion now due to a couple of reasons. One major reason why he might decide to take a break is his back injury. Fans are very well aware of the condition his back is in. He has also stated multiple times that it has caused hindrance in his training and matches. The second reason could be his big Hollywood break. Rollins is set to star in an undisclosed yet possibly a major role in the upcoming Marvel Studios project, Captain America: Brave New World. The movie is set to release in 2025 and could pave the way for him in Hollywood. Do you think Rollins might take a break after his contract expires next year?

One take at a time

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let?s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
