Before they had their own Royal Rumble match, women wrestlers came into the match solely for the entertainment factor. However, after the women’s revolution, the entry of women became a symbol of empowerment and shed light on the women’s division.
Here are the women who earned their spot in Royal Rumble –
#1 Chyna
The ‘Ninth Wonder of The World’ broke glass ceilings for women in wrestling long before the women’s revolution. Not only was Chyna the first women to enter the Royal Rumble but was also the only one to enter the Battle Royale twice!
Back in the 1990s, Chyna dominated her male counterparts. In the 1999 Royal Rumble, she entered the match as the 30th entrant after she earned the spot after winning a previous battle royale. She eliminated Mark Henry; however, she was soon eliminated by Steve Austin.

After her performance in the 1999 Rumble, Chyna reached new heights in her popularity. She won the Intercontinental Championship twice (a record that is yet to be broken for women wrestlers).
However, in the 2000 Royal Rumble, she lost the title to Chris Jericho. But she entered the Royal Rumble match and eliminated Jericho as revenge. The Big Boss Man eliminated her later.
#2 Beth Phoenix
The former Women’s Champion is often considered a successor to Chyna because of her strength. Phoenix also made her debut in the famous Battle Royale a decade after Chyna.
In the 2010 Royal Rumble, Beth Phoenix entered the match as the number 6 entrant. As soon as she entered, she went after The Great Khali.
While Khali tried not to hurt her, ‘The Glamazon’ tricked Khali with a kiss and eliminated him from the match. She created history after eliminating the almost invincible giant.
Soon after, CM Punk eliminated Phoenix.
#3 Kharma
During her brief stint with WWE, Kharma aka Awesome Kong entered the 2012 Royal Rumble as the 21st entrant. Already earning an intimidating reputation in the then-Divas division, Kharma made her presence known in the men’s division.
Kharma eliminated Hunico and then intimidated Michael Cole enough for him to eliminate himself. However, Dolph Ziggler eliminated the monstrous amazon soon after. This was Kharma’s first and last official match in WWE as the company let her go in July.

The latest entry in this list is Nia Jax. She entered the Royal Rumble in 2019 and dominated every man in the match. On her way to the ring, she thrashed R-Truth.
Upon entering the match, she lasted for three minutes and eliminated the current leader of Retribution, Mustafa Ali. It took the combined efforts of Dolph Ziggler, Rey Mysterio, and Randy Orton to eliminate her from the match.
