Fatu surprisingly left WWE when she was the tag team champion with Sasha Banks in 2022. UFC legend Ronda Rousey was working as a full-time wrestler during her second run when Fatu was still with WWE. Naomi further revealed that she cherishes her moment with Ronda Rousey. She said, “Anywhere Ronda shows up, it’s a bonus and a plus. I never got to go against Ronda. Happy I got to work with her during her second run, that was pretty awesome. Teaming with her in Saudi, which is also something she fought for, for me to be there with her. I’ll never forget that.”
The moment in reference happened at WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 in Saudi Arabia when Fatu teamed up with Ronda Rousey. They faced Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville on 19th Feb.
Rousey’s second stint saw her often in the firing line of the fans, who were not pleased with her performances inside the ring. In fact, #FireRondaRousey was a trend on X for quite a while. Rousey eventually left WWE this year after her SummerSlam defeat to Shayna Baszler. As for Trinity Fatu, she walked out of WWE in 2022 with her tag team partner Sasha Banks.

An upset Fatu reveals why she walked out of WWE
Fatu left WWE in a shocking moment along with former WWE Champion Sasha Banks before Monday Night RAW on May 16th, 2022. While Naomi went to Impact Wrestling to perform as Trinity Fatu, Sasha Banks went to NJPW to perform as Mercedes Mone.
Naomi revealed on Busted Open Radio the reason behind her exit. She said, “Ultimately, I left that day because of the way I was talked to and handled. Everything kind of broke me that day. To go through the backlash and negativity and the lies and the rumours and also feel lost, really broke me. It was probably the lowest I’ve ever felt in my life.”
