Being a part of WWE is in itself a prestigious thing for wrestlers. There’s no doubt that it is one of the greatest pro wrestling promotions across the globe. However, due to massive creative differences, last year, Trinity Fatu, aka Naomi chose to walk out along with Sasha Banks from there. It’s been almost a year and now the superstar has returned to the wrestling scene as well. Nevertheless, the former WWE star opened up on her reasoning behind walking out of the WWE.

Naomi’s Impact Wrestling debut isn’t a secret anymore. But the reason behind her walking out from the Stamford-based promotion remained a question for many. Although, it was known to all that the former SmackDown Women’s Champion isn’t pleased with the creative decisions of the company. However, she recently highlighted in detail what really happened behind one of the biggest news stories of last year.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Fatu opened up about her WWE departure. Even though she has previously spoken about how she felt after her infamous WWE walkout, this time, she revealed the authentic reason behind it.

She said, “Ultimately, I left that day because of the way I was talked to and handled. Everything kind of broke me that day.” 

“To go through the backlash and negativity and the lies and the rumors and also feel lost, it really broke me. It was probably the lowest I’ve ever felt in my life,” Naomi added.

A wrestler wants his/her character to be shown in a particular way that it deserves. The former WWE superstar desired the same. But, unfortunately, she wasn’t satisfied with the creative handling of her in-ring persona and thus decided to walk out from there.

As Fatu detailed, it was truly difficult for her during that period, but now she feels thankful for it. The challenging days have given her an opportunity to learn and experience more. And to do so, she feels, Impact Wrestling is the best choice.

During the podcast, Naomi couldn’t help but speak highly of her recent alternative choice. She expressed her joy in joining Impact Wrestling and the thrill of working with the wrestlers there.

Fatu said, “I truly feel like IMPACT is the best choice for me at this point in my life right now with what I want to do.”

With this, it gets more clear that Trinity Fatu is currently in her desired place in her wrestling career. She is the happiest joining the Nashville-based promotion and looks forward to utilizing her talent in the most efficient way. Thus, we wish her all the strength and happiness to grow in her career as per her choices.
