But what about face Miz? Believe it or not, but The Miz has been a face three times in his career. Despite being known to play the bad guy, from August 1, 2004 to August 31, 2006, The Miz was a face. But The Miz made his in-ring debut in 2006? Yes, this was during his time on Tough Enough before the main roster debut.

Since his main roster debut, he’s been a bad guy till a short-lived face turn between November 12, 2012 and November 17, 2013. This happened as he was assaulted by Randy Orton who was a bigger heel at that time. This turned The Miz into a babyface but that switch didn’t last long as he moved on to Kofi Kingston.

The third and last time The Miz turned face was during his feud with Johnny Gargano in 2022. This resulted in The Miz being kidnapped and going on a losing streak. This earned him some sympathy from the fans before returning to his old way. But what is the reason behind his face turn now in 2023?

Possible explanation for The Miz’s face turn

One of the main reasons fans speculate why they turned The Miz babyface is because he’s been a heel for much too long. Despite being great at being the bad guy, fans get tired of it. With Gunther being a heel, he would require a babyface to feud with. The Miz has been someone who was incredibly proud of his Intercontinental run.

If the WWE pushes The Miz for another Intercontinental run, he would need to be a babyface. This could also allow him to ally with DIY against the Imperium. As DIY is one man short, Miz could fill in. Nevertheless, this all amounts to speculation at the moment as WWE hasn’t confirmed anything yet.
