Hulk Hogan ruled the 80s and the 90s, putting professional wrestling on the map. He was the most popular WWE superstar at the time around the world. However, a few WWE stars rose to stardom during the Hulkamania era like The Ultimate Warrior, ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage, etc., to name a few. Another top star who made his name during that era recently bashed Hogan for his wrestling abilities but highly praised him for his other skill.

WWE legend slams and praises Hulk Hogan at the same time

The Golden Era of WWE saw huge musclemen in the company. They weren’t agile as today’s WWE superstars but put on a great show. However, recently Ted DiBiase criticized The Hulkster and The Ultimate Warrior while talking about their WrestleMania 6 match.

The ‘Million Dollar Man’ stated why the fans still talk about Hogan and Warrior as they both couldn’t really work. These massive words came on WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts’ ‘The Snake Pit’ podcast.

The 69-year-old legend said, “I don’t know why they talk about Hogan and Warrior. Neither one of them could really work. Hulkster, I mean, he couldn’t really work, I mean he could work his gimmick.”

Dibiase added, “He knew what his gimmick was and he did it very well. And again, Hulkster’s not the kinda guy that should be doing arm drags and takeovers and some of the stuff that Jake and I do.”

Hall of Famer DiBiase is not the first one to criticize Hogan and Ultimate Warrior. A few months back Jake Roberts also made a huge statement about Warrior’s capabilities.

Nevertheless, as per Hogan his gimmick in WWE made him limited in the ring. He was a completely different wrestler when he wrestled in Japan. But DiBiase is still not impressed with The Hulkster’s in-ring skills. However, he had more to say about the late WWE Hall of Famer.

Ted DiBiase calls The Ultimate Warrior “selfish”

While Hulkamania ran wild in WWE, Warrior still became popular among the fans. However, many of his peers have criticized him over the years, despite being popular. The Million Dollar Man also had similar comments for the late WWE legend.

Dibiase said “He was never a great guy. He was a selfish SOB who didn’t care about anybody but himself…Always try to protect your opponent, and if he’s trying to do the same thing it’s going to work out. Warrior didn’t give a c**p about anybody and he didn’t care if he hurt you.”

Irrespective of that, The Ultimate Warrior won the WWE Championship once, defeating Hulk Hogan in the main event of WrestleMania  VI. Moreover, he also won the Intercontinental title twice in his career.
