Dwayne Johnson has made a huge name as an actor in Hollywood for over a decade now. But several people often forget before getting famous as an actor he was The Rock. Also, he ruled the Attitude Era of WWE. He left the business early when he was young and a WWE legend recently called it a smart move on his part. 

It is no doubt the eight years of The Brahma Bull wrestling in WWE, have become embedded in the minds of wrestling fans and are fondly recalled to this day.

WWE Hall of Famer Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts appeared for an interview on Vlad TV. While talking about wrestlers having longevity in their careers, the 67-year-old agreed with the host that The Rock was smart to quickly move on to Hollywood.

The host said, “I mean out of all the wrestlers who did it The Rock was the one who really walked away with the most success.” Roberts replied, “Oh Ofcourse…No doubt.”

The host added, “I mean not only he was a superstar wrestler but he still seems that he has his health and doesn’t seems like he’s all messed up. Why do you think he was able to walk away….?” Roberts said, “Is because he got away quick. He was in it for a few years. What was he was there for five, six years”

The master of DDT claimed that’s the best way to leave the business like DJ did, i.e. wrestle for a few years and retire. The Rock had a handful of matches after becoming a full-time actor and makes appearances from time to time.

The last time he was in the ring was at WrestleMania 32 in an impromptu match against Erick Rowan. Ever since his transition from WWE to Hollywood, he has also become a fitness icon for many of his followers and is known for his intense workout regimen, while maintaining an incredible physique.

The Rock is a more busy man today than he was back in the day. He has several movie projects lined up and also handles many businesses he has invested in for a long time. Irrespective of that he has managed to appear for WWE a few times.

After leaving WWE he first returned to WWE to induct his grandfather ‘High Chief’ Peter Maivia and father Rocky Johnson into the Hall of Fame. A few years later he laced up his boots for a match at Survivor Series followed by two WrestleMania matches with John Cena in 2012 and 2013. 

Furthermore, he also showed up at WrestleMania 30 and 31 for a segment, with some occasional appearances on RAW and SmackDown. He last appeared on the blue brand in 2019 and is rumored to return for quite some time to face Roman Reigns eventually.
