Pro wrestling is a grueling sport that comes with its risks and injuries. Many promising careers have been affected because of injuries suffered inside the ring. Former WWE Champion and New Day member Big E, unfortunately, suffered the same fate last year on an episode of SmackDown. The 36-year-old star landed on the top of his head during a tag team match against Sheamus and Ridge Holland and broke his neck. The ringside paramedics stretched him out and later it was revealed that his C1 was broken in two spots.
The famed tag team wrestler has been in injury rehab since and while there has been progress, his in-ring status is uncertain. Now fellow New Day member Kofi Kingston has shared the latest update on his friend’s health.

He stated, “So they want to do a new scan, I believe in March, and they want to see where things are and we’ll kind of go from there.” The former WWE Champion also said the most important thing is that Big E lives his life in a “comfortable fashion and be happy.”
Despite not being involved in-ring action since his injury, Big E has done promotional work for WWE and even did the introduction for NASCAR Championship 4 race a couple of months back. The former eight-time tag team champion has also been scouting talents for WWE while on the sidelines.
