“He’s in that Mount Rushmore”- Roman Reigns Compares John Cena and The Rock Over Mic Skills

There aren’t many individuals around the globe who do not know about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Whether it’s the entertainment industry or the wrestling or even the biz-world, The Rock is conquering them all one step at a time. His fans regard him with the highest possible respect and so does his cousin, Roman Reigns.

Therefore, when the WWE Universal Champion appeared as a guest on the Load Management Podcast, he let the listeners know about The Rock’s true capability. Roman Reigns was asked – “Is he the best on the mic ever in the ring?”

According to Reigns, his older cousin is the best in the ring with the mic. The primary reason is due to the way ‘The Brahma Bull’ can connect with his audience. Furthermore, not only does he have a unique way of delivering his punchlines, but, he times them to perfection.

“I think from an actual in-ring competitor, yeah. You know what I mean. He’s up there, you know it. There’s different ways now, and it works for him now, but I don’t know if anybody could because he was so dominant with how he did it with the punchline and teaching the crowd the punchline.”

“It’s not the same as far as I think someone trying to do that nowadays and the crowd’s different too. With the internet, it’s changed people in a different way. But you know, people who are.. he was special in that connection with the crowd. That simultaneous connection with the live crowd out there. I don’t think there will be anybody like him.”

Roman Reigns compares The Rock with John Cena

Roman Reigns likened his cousin with the 16x WWE champion John Cena. If truth be told, it is a popular belief that if anybody can match Rock’s mic abilities, then it is none other than John Cena.

He said, “Cena is really good. As far as ad-libbing and just taking what the crowd gives him. I don’t think there is anyone better than how John is… I definitely think he is in that, you know, Mount Rushmore. That small, very, very intimate class of performers who rock the mic like nobody else for sure.”

The ability to cut a good promo and connect with the crowd assisted The Rock in becoming “The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment”. His confidence, sense of humor, and catchphrases led him to become “The People’s Champ”.

Now, it is well known that if there is anyone from the family who can match up to The Rock, then its Roman Reigns. As a matter of fact, The ‘Big Dog’ believes that working with Paul Heyman will unwrap his hidden charisma.
