In an interview with Esquire in 2015, DJ called his then-girlfriend his better half. He said, “You gotta get the better half in there. With all the cool sh*t and success that I’ve been lucky enough to get? That doesn’t happen unless the home life is solid.”

The couple saw several ups and downs in each other’s life until it seems Johnson had made up his mind in 2015 about marrying her. He was happy having a life with Hashian and soon four years later, after calling her his better half, tied the knot.
