A couple of weeks ago, before Payback, John Cena made a surprise return to WWE. It was later made clear that he would be staying here for a while and would be seen on SmackDown as well. Social media was buzzing with his return. Cena was all over the news after his comeback. He was the talk of the town due to his online feud with Grayson Waller.

However, just hours after his return, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stole his limelight. Yet again The Rock made it clear as to why he is the G.O.A.T.

A video, posted by the official WWE account, of the 51-year-old star is going viral over the internet. In the reel, Pat McAfee can be seen speaking with Austin Theory. They were inside the ring and were trading barbs. That is when McAfee decided to stop and pose a question to Theory. The Boomstick asked him “This is the people’s show and do you know what that means?”. This was followed by The Rock’s theme music “Electrifying”. The crowd went crazy when The People’s Champion showed up. His entry was not revealed anywhere before the show, leading to fans going absolutely haywire when the formerly retired WWE legend made his way into the ring.

The video has amassed 3.2 million views in just a few hours after being uploaded. This is quite a lot compared to John Cena’s entry reel, which was also posted by WWE on September 2. The reel in which John Cena can be seen running towards the ring garnered around a million views since its upload. Apart from that, another reel featuring John Cena and Jimmy Uso garnered significant views but still less compared to Johnson’s reel. The video in which John Cena can be seen giving his signature Five Knuckle Shuffle to Jimmy Uso fetched only a total of 1.8 million views.

Last night’s SmackDown witnessed a moment greater than The Brahma Bull’s entry. In the clip, Johnson and Cena can be seen standing and looking each other in the eyes. The stars were having a stare-off when Johnson told Cena that he could notice him smiling. This leads to both of them breaking their character, smiling and nodding at each other. The two shared a hug and The Cenation Leader welcomed Johnson home. This heartfelt moment gathered a total of 4.3 million views, surpassing Johnson’s 3.2 million mark.

The famous beef between John Cena and The Rock dates back to 2011. The Rock was hosting WrestleMania 27 and due to his actions ended up calling the wrath of John Cena on himself. They decided to face off against each other in 2012 on WrestleMania 28. However, Johnson emerged victorious after the bout. They again had a match a year later on WrestleMania 29. In this match, Cena emerged victorious, making him the new champion. Later on, they both shook their hands, letting go of their quibble.
