“I Can’t Do That” – Seth Rollins Reveals His WWE Promos Are Not Scripted

In recent times, wrestling fans are much more interested in the behind-the-scenes of every segment or storyline, thanks to the internet. Now, we’re all aware WWE uses scripts for their in-ring or backstage promos; however, few top-tier superstars have the liberty to deliver the promos however they like. The Messiah, Seth Rollins, is one of those superstars.
Rollins has had his fair share of fumbles on the mic in front of a live audience, but the ‘Beast Slayer’ has improved drastically since his earlier days.

However, Rollins admits it’s difficult for him to write it on a piece of paper and memorize the lengthy promos; but he said that instead of on a paper it’s written in his head.
“I would say almost 0% scripted in the sense that I don’t write things down on a piece of paper, and read them and memorize them that way. That doesn’t really work for me. Scripted in the sense that I have a pretty good idea of what I want to say when I go out to the ring and grab the microphone, but like I said, it’s not written down.”

“It’s almost written in my head on a little tablet in my head. There’s no piece of paper for me, I can’t do that. I’ve tried it. It just doesn’t fly for me. I cannot be authentic in that way.” Rollins admitted.
Rollins concluded by saying he does not get any cues or a piece of paper for his promos.

“It changes so quickly. For me, script-wise, almost nothing is written on a piece of paper for me at this point”.
